Girl’s Sectional Track Results
On Friday, May 9th, the girls track team competed at the IHSA Sectional Track & Field meet at St. Charles North. Congratulations to Alyssa Schneider as she qualified to represent Bartlett High School at the IHSA State Track & Field meet on May 16th and 17th. Alyssa’s time of 5:13.90 in the 1600 meter run, easily bettered the state qualifying mark of 5:18.0. Alyssa will also be competing in the 4 x 800 meter relay.
Along with Alyssa, her teammates Sam Bass, Kristen Schneider, and Sam Salinas bettered the state qualifying mark by running 9:35.80, 9 seconds better than the qualifying standard. The team improved their previous best by 13 seconds.
All of these girls deserve our congratulations and we wish them luck as they head to Eastern Illinois University to represent us at the State Meet.
